 There is a new commercial for Extra! Gum, that claims it is "the long lasting 5-calorie snack" and can take you from "take you from 'nice gut' to 'nice butt.'" We hope that all our ContestShape readers are not fooled by this claim. This commerical did air last night during NBC's the Biggest Loser. (Click on the picture to see video)

Staying Focused for the Holidays

Tis the Season for Pumpkin

Do you love pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, and/or pumpkin cheesecake?  Are you craving Dairy Queen's seasonal Pumpkin Pie Blizzard?  If you are like us, than you are bummed that this wonderful flavor seems to be seasonal and only gets including in recipes that are loaded with fat and calories.  Libby's 100% Pure Pumpkin is an excellent source of Vitamin A, fiber and is low in calories and fat.  In fact, 1/2 cup serving only has 40 calories (9 g carbs, 2 g protein, 0.5 g fat.  We recommend that if you are craving this flavor to add a couple tablespoons to your morning oatmeal and egg whites or mixing with vanilla protein powder to make a pudding.  You may need to add a bit of splenda for sweetness, cinnamon and or pumpkin pie spice mix to get the flavor you are missing.  Give it a try and enjoy NO GUILT!!!! more > | view comments >

How to Stay Motivated to do Morning Cardio?

One of our ContestShape.com clients had a great recommendation so we thought we would share.  Every morning she dreads having to do cardio so she decided to find something to look forward to.  She recently became very interested in the television show Criminal Minds and decided to buy seasons 1-3 to watch each morning during mroning cardio. She found it was a great way to pass the time and stay motivated.  Recently, she signed up for Netflix and now has seasons 4-5 scheduled to be delivered.  Once, she finished with Criminal Minds, she plans to move on to Dead Like Me and Sons of Anarchy.  So, our advice to you, is to find a television series that you can watch while doing your cardio. more > | view comments >

NPC Jr USAs 2010 in Houston, TX

NPC South Carolina and Texas Chairmans, Tres Bennett and Lee Thompson will be working together to promote the 2010 NPC JR USA. The show will be moving to Houston Texas and will take place on August 28, 2010. The contest will be held at the Stafford Centre.  In the past, this show was the first national NPC show and was held in Charleston, SC.
